The owner, Joanne Maddison, was previously the manager of local jewellers Andersons of Warwick until the owner retired. A qualified and experienced gemmologist, Joanne is excited to be opening her own family jewellers at the same location in Market Place, Warwick. We are a small and friendly team, focused on honing the jewellery selections of some the brand names that Warwick will be familiar with, whilst bringing some new and exciting brands and pieces to the town. Alongside these new jewellery ranges, we specialise in second hand jewellery and love being able to share our favourite preloved pieces with Warwick. We don’t just have jewellery too, we also stock a range of watches and giftware. So whether you are looking for engagement or wedding rings, a gift for a friend, or a treat for yourself, Maddison’s Jewellers is here for everything life has to offer!

Meet The Team

Owner
A Warwickshire local, born in Royal Leamington Spa and going to the local schools, taking a Design and Technology A-Level at Aylesford School sparked an interest in jewellery design. During my studies I went to the local jewellers Andersons of Warwick to ask for advice, and started working there as a Saturday Sales Assistant. Working my way up in the 13 years that I worked at Andersons, I became the Supervisor and then the Manager, before starting my own business of Maddison’s Jewellers. During this time, I gained my JET 1 and JET 2 with the National Association of Jewellers, CERT FEEG and DGA with the Gemmological Association Of Great Britain, whilst forming connections with local antique dealers who helped support my journey. Now the proud owner and Director of Maddison’s, I’m excited to bring a new energy to the town centre here in Warwick and utilise my gemmological knowledge to bring fresh creative directions to the shop. In my free time I enjoy travelling and exploring my happy place of mainland Europe.

Having started at Andersons of Warwick in 2023, I’m excited to now be a part of the team at Maddison’s Jewellers. At university I gained a First-Class joint honours BA American and Canadian Studies and English degree, where I focused on internationally written American literature, before going on to study for an MA Japanese Studies, specialising in intercultural communication in film translation and distribution, and taking language classes in Japanese and Mandarin Chinese. I love being able to apply these creative skills to my work here at Maddison’s and learning more about the world of jewellery and watches. In my spare time I enjoy travel, reading, and going to concerts.

Having always worked in customer facing roles, I love meeting people and learning more about their life stories and how their jewellery is important to them. After nine years of working in the jewellery trade, I’ve formed many connections through getting to know customers as people. Alongside my sales experience, a passion for singing has taken me through a lifelong career as a professional singer. Now at Maddison’s, my favourite part of working here is that you are working in the community and you can really feel that you are a part of the town.
